GOLD CROWNS
Whether it's an Inlay or a Full Gold crown, these crowns are a tried and true restoration. And yes, we still offer them.
Gold Crown
We continue to use the "lost wax" technique for fabricating gold crowns.
The wax-up is now milled and then refined by a skilled technician. This keeps the marginal integrity meeting our high standard.
Your preferences are followed, whether it's high anatomy, or little to no anatomy, or incline planes only. Just specify your wishes.
Inlay/Onlay
Inlay/Onlay Crowns are offered in both Porcelain and Gold. Depending on the prep design of the tooth, some inlays are not available in Zirconia. However, Emax all ceramic restorations are generally a viable option. And of course, the standard tried and true Gold option is a beautiful restoration for those small inlays.
Type of Gold Used
With the gold market being as high as it is, these crowns can be expensive. At PDAI, we search for cheaper alternatives, which means we also offer FGC crowns with less gold content. We offer 45%, 62% and 77% gold content options. As the percentage rises, so does the cost. The 45% is still a nice gold color for those never-fail restorations.
