Zirconia Crowns are milled using our in-house milling system from Zirkonzahn - a five-axis system which provides quality millings. We are proud to participate in the exclusive Zirkonzahn product line as this provides you with quality, consistent restorations. Our pre-staining techniques ensure the best possible results for an aesthetic restoration and our marginal integrity is superb .
Zirconia Prettau
We use Zirkonzahn's Prettau material to fabricate full contour zirkonia crowns. This is also our "go to" material when a layered zirconia crown is desired.
Using a custom pre-stain technique instead of just "dipping" the crown, we provide a more aesthetic appearance.
And now, the new pre-generated stained pucks are available from Zirkon Zahn. This material provides even better esthetics than before!
Zirconia Prettau Anterior
Zirconia Prettau Anterior Crowns are an upgrade to the Zirconia Full contour crown.
We use Prettau Anterior material from Zirkonzahn to create a more lifelike restoration, one your patients will love.
And they're not just for anteriors - we have clients who use Prettau Anterior for molars and bicuspids as well.
This is a wonderful alternative for Lithium Disilicate restorations.
Lithium Disilicate
At PDAI, we achieve a life-like restoration using pressed lithium disilicate, which is highly recommended because of its strength and aesthetic appearance.
To date, we continue to press rather than mill this type of crown, mainly for marginal integrity.
Marginal integrity is best maintained with a solid "shoulder" prep. As the digital world advances, milling could become an option.
